Four Pieces, Three Ways

|
Something I've really been working on this year is creating more content around multiple ways to wear one piece. I've started adding some of those outfits into the posts the very first time I share a new-to-me item with the hope that it will help you decide more easily if that item is something that will be a good fit for your closet/lifestyle or not. There are a few items I've shared recently that I haven't posted more than once, so today I'm catching up a little on that. Plus I just picked up one new under $20 that I love and think a lot of you might too, so I'm throwing that in here too!

Jogger Pants: I had jogger pants on my summer wishlist earlier this month and have since purchased (online) and returned several pairs. It's been a lot harder than I thought to find a flattering pair!  I had pretty much given up on this style before I decided to give this pair from Target a chance. Yes, they're actually pajamas and that's probably what makes them so ridiculously comfy. But of all the pairs I've tried they were also the most flattering! They're true to size and I do have them hiked up on my legs (they come all the way down to my ankles), so even if you're taller than my 5'4" I think they'll be long enough for you. I wore the third outfit to a hair appointment during the day, and the pants were perfect since I don't like to wear shorts to the hair salon and have my legs get sticky while I sit on the chair. I usually wear leggings in the winter but those just seemed to warm and constricting for the weather that day. I also changed my shoes to sneakers for a walk later that evening the pants were great for that too.
THREE: White Tee (c/o) | Jogger Pants | Similar Sandals (limited sizes), Similar Sandals

Sizing Notes: In the outfits above I'm wearing a Small in the taupe tank, X-Small in the striped tank, Small in the white t-shirt and XS in the joggers.

T-shirt Hoodie: This striped t-shirt/hoodie is the most comfortable top I own and it was recently re-stocked in all sizes. It's kind of a hybrid between a sweatshirt and a t-shirt, so for my Florida friends it might to be too warm for you to wear at all right now. But I'm still wearing this for our cool mornings/evenings. I'm wearing a Small and I'm 5'4", and it's long enough for me to wear with leggings. I really only wear this with leggings or jean shorts, so there's not a big difference in the outfit options here, but I figured I could at least show a few different shoe options.
TWO: Striped Hoodie (c/o) | Jeans | Sneakers (c/o)
THREE: Striped Hoodie (c/o) | Leggings (c/o) | Sandals (c/o) (Less Expensive, Budget Option

3. Kimono: This kimono is a one-size piece that I think should fit most sizes XS-XL. I was pleased with how well this works with casual and more dressy outfits. I first posted this here and thought I was overdue for sharing a few more ways to wear it since it's such an affordable ($17), easy to style summer piece.
ONE: Kimono (c/o) | Henley Tank (c/o) | Similar Jeans | Sandals | Earrings
TWO: Kimono (c/o) | Coral Tank (Similar w/ more sizes) | Jean Shorts | Similar Sandals

4. Pink Blazer/Cardigan/Jacket: I shared a full post with this blazer/jacket back in May, but I wanted to re-share today since it's currently 30% off. I think my mirror selfies capture the color a little more accurately than the outdoor photos. One of the reviews online said it runs big, and it does have a relaxed/slightly oversized fit, so I could see how someone might interpret that as "runs big." I'm wearing an XS here, which is pretty normal sizing for me in Express jackets. It's roomy but it fits as I expected for this style.

1. Old Navy Jacket Re-stocked
I saw a few bloggers wearing this pink Old Navy jacket last fall, but it was already sold out in my size by the time I was ready to purchase it. This week I noticed that it's been re-stocked in all sizes so I had to order it in my size. I know not all climates can use jackets in the summer, but mine come in handy year round and I think this light pink will be great for summer.

2. Coffee and Conversation
Last week I went to a Coffee and Conversation gathering hosted by Hatched Collective and it was a really great experience that gave me a lot of food for thought. I really want to do one of their work sessions soon, too. If you're a San Diego local female with a business or side hustle or just a dream about having one of those things, I highly recommend them. If you're not in San Diego but fit all of those other descriptions, I also recommend the Coffee and Conversation Podcast. I've been listening to it all week and it's really inspiring!

3. Echo Look Discount Code
I shared some of my experiences with the Amazon Echo Look style assistant here and here, and if you're interested in getting one for yourself, today is the last day to use code ECHOLOOK20 to save $40 on your Echo Look order.

4. Weekend Plans
My boys both really want to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom so we might try to make that happen this weekend. I don't usually like to go to newly released movies (the crowds...ugh) but I guess it's just one more thing we do as parents for our kids!

I hope you found today's post helpful! I am planning to shift my Friday posts a little from "Everyday Outfits" to more "3 Ways to Wear" posts like this. It will still be mostly selfies on Fridays and my everyday outfits will still be mixed in just like they were today, but I have been feeling like a shift is in order here to make my content more useful, and hopefully this small change will be a step in the right direction!

    1. No problem. :) Mine are XS. They're stretchy and I'm guessing XS will probably fit sizes 00-4. Definitely no need to size up unless you want them extra roomy.

  6. Aren't joggers the best?! I mostly wear mine for pajamas, but I've been known to throw on a tee and some sneakers with them to just run to the grocery store. That pink blazer is so pretty, too. Hope you have a good weekend!
