Everyday Outfits + Weekend Sales 4/28/18

|
I've fallen pretty far behind on outfit sharing this month so a weekend post was in order to do some catching up. Plus, the best sales are on the weekend so Saturday and Sunday end up being the best time for me to post about the deals.

Outfit Recap:

Denim Jacket, Red Top:

I purchased this denim jacket a couple of years ago at Nordstrom and even though it was a bit of a splurge, the fabric is soft and comfortable and the cut was just right. I've used it plenty to justify the cost, but I just found the same jacket here for 30% off. For more ways I've worn this jacket see this post. My jacket and all other pieces I'm wearing ran true to size. My shoes are currently 20% off with code SHOES.

Khaki Bomber Jacket, White Tee:

This jacket made it to my list of  Three Spring Staples, and I wore it very similar to one of the outfits in that post except for slight changes to the jeans and shoes. No need to re-invent the wheel, right? All pieces here ran true to size.

Blush Cardigan, Light Grey Henley Tank:

This is a pretty standard "not going anywhere special today" outfit for me. It's comfortable but nice enough for a grocery run and driving the kids around to their activities and lessons. I took a small in this henley tank (normal for me when it comes to fitted tank tops) and an XS in the cardigan. I shared six more ways to wear this cardigan in this post, so it's definitely a favorite for me.

Weekend Sales:
Express
40% off everything for two days only! I recently tried on this tie-front t-shirt in store (it runs true to size) and loved it, but have been waiting for a sale. Doesn't get better than 40% off, so I may have to scoop this up. It runs true to size and comes in eleven solid colors plus two stripe options!

Target:
Get 20% off Shoes with code SHOES. My Taupe Espadrilles (shown in the first outfit in this post) have been a solid purchase this season. See another outfit with them here. I've also seen these cork mules on quite a few bloggers and they have all 5-star, glowing reviews

I love neutral shoes (as evidenced in my outfits this week!), but I don't have an open-toe slip on pair like this so I ordered them. With the sale code and 5% Red Card discount they were only $25!

Abercrombie:
30% off your entire purchase with code 11430. Many tops are also 40% off, and sometimes they let you layer codes so that will make some very good deals! A couple of things I have and love:

This Lace Trim Cami is only $16.80 and it's my current favorite cami. It's true to size and the adjustable straps are great for getting the neckline placed just where I want it. And the lace adds just the right touch to make a basic outfit a little more interesting.

I know it's not really the season for for this, but these pullovers are so cute and they are on sale for $49, and they did not go on sale for all of Fall and Winter!

I packed this with me for our Spring Break trip and loved wearing it every night when it cooled down to sit out by the fire. I'm also planning to take this for our summer trip to Cannon Beach. It's perfect for the cool nights by the coast. Even with a bonfire at the beach we still need a jacket and this is the perfect combination of comfort + cute. It comes in lots of other cute colors, too. I wear an XS in most Abercrombie tops but got the Small in this for extra length and roominess.

Bloomingdales
$25 off Every $100. I posted about this yesterday but it's good enough to be worth a repeat! If you've considered splurging on a designer handbag or a pair of Tory Burch Miller Sandals, this is a great sale.

The code is actually for $25 off every $100, so you will need to add something small to your cart in order to save $50 on the sandals. Here are a few low-priced, fairly practical items to throw in your cart to get the $50 savings:
Water Glass $4
Bath Bomb $6
Lip Balm $7.50

Happy Shopping and have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks Mica! That blush cardigan has been such a great staple. I'm not at your level of having worn in it 30 (!!) ways, but at least a dozen by now!

  2. Love that red top! It's so pretty with the white denim. My denim jacket is more than 10 years old, actually it's like 15! But I purchased it at Gap and paid over $50. It seemed like such a lot of money at the time but it has been worth every penny. It's soft and comfortable and the fit is great. A good denim jacket is a necessity!
I have thought of doing a round up every week of what I wear but some days it would be almost comical! But actually that might be a good reason to do it!

    1. I'd love to see your weekly round up! I know for me that just knowing I am going to be posting everyday outfits on the blog motivates me to put in a little more effort. Most days. :) And that's awesome that your denim jacket has lasted so many years!

  3. I think your link for the Khaki jacket takes you to a different one then the one you are wearing. I like the one you are wearing more than the linked one:). Thanks for the great blog!

  4. That lace trim cami is such a great deal right now! The pullovers are on great sale too! I got a few dupes on amazon, but I wish they had pockets like the Abercrombie ones.

    1. Same here, Laura! I had one of the dupes and one real deal, and I found I really love the pockets on the real one. They were worth the extra expense, plus it just fit me better overall.
