Everyday Outfits 3/3/18 + Weekend Sales

|
I hope your weekend is off to a good start! It's actually rainy and gloomy here today so it might put a damper on some of our plans. I'm checking in today with a few quick snaps of outfits from this week plus a few sale notes. The best sales always seem to be on the weekends, so I've been wanting to make a weekend post a regular thing so I can do a better job of highlighting those sales a little more than I have in the past. We'll see how consistent I am, but it can't hurt to try.

Outfit Recap:

Fleece Pullover, Leggings:

Outfit Notes: This pullover was almost sold out the last time I posted it, but it's been re-stocked in many sizes and colors now. It's been excluded from every sale since I started tracking it, so if you're thinking about getting it I'd say just order it when it's in the budget and your size is in stock. If you try to wait for a sale, 1) it may never happen, and 2) your size/color preference will probably be sold out. I'm wearing a Small here, which is one size up from what I wear in other tops at Abercrombie. I wanted it to be long enough to wear with leggings and at my height (5'4") that worked out for me. This was an easy, comfortable outfit for a chilly day when I walked my youngest to/from school. Then I was mostly at home doing stuff around the house and taking kids to after school activities later.

Black Cardigan, Red Tank:

Outfit Notes: I last wore this tank in a more dressed-up outfit here, and I've been meaning to re-wear it with a more casual, everyday outfit ever since. I'm wearing an XS in this red tank and I think it's pretty true to size. One thing I noticed is that the red dye transferred a bit onto my jeans. I was thinking of pairing this top with white jeans in Spring/Summer, but now I'm not too sure about that because I don't want to ruin them. Aside from that word of caution, everything else ran true to size.

Gray Sweater, Black Jeans:

Outfit Notes: I last wore this sweater in this post, and I really wanted to pair it with a different color of jeans this time. But then I tried on with nearly every pair of jeans I own and I did not like it with any other them. So to be honest now I'm kind of wishing I had purchased this in a different color so I didn't feel like I was wearing the exact same outfit every time I wear it. I switched up the boots this time just to have some change from the last outfit and to go for the long line of all black, but still. It's a cute, really comfortable sweater, just not my most versatile by any means.

Weekend Sales:
Just a few quick notes about some current sales on some of my favorite items and pieces I ordered so you can take advantage of the same pricing!

1. ShopBop Sale:
The Buy More, Save More sale ends tonight! I shared one of my all-time Favorites from ShopBop in this post along with some of the other items on my wishlist. I finally ended up ordering this bag:

I'm a little worried that it will be too small, but it's the one piece I can't get out of my head so I have to at least try it while it's on sale and return if necessary.

2. Express:
Express is having $25 off Every $100 with Code 3490. Here are a few of my current favorites:

Double-O Ring Belt (worn herehere and here)
Khaki Bomber Jacket (worn here)
Purple Dusk Cardigan (recent purchase, coming to the blog soon)

3. Abercrombie:
Abercrombie has up to 50% off select items for their Mid-Season Sale. I have and love a few of their jeans that are included in the sale. I especially like their black jeans - I find the ankle opening narrower than my Express jeans, which make them easier to style with pumps and ankle boots.

Black Jeans (shown in outfit three above)
Ripped Knee Black Jeans (worn here)
Ripped Knee Dark Wash Jeans (worn here)

4. J. Crew
J. Crew has 30% off full priced items. This necklace I wear all the time is included in the sale. I separated it into two pieces and added an extender to the longer portion (see it on me here) so I get twice as much use out of it! Between the two segments one of them will work with just about any neckline.

I also ordered two of these camis to try...two weeks ago! And I'm still waiting on that shipment to arrive. Needless to say I'm not thrilled with their shipping department, but I've ordered from them in the past and never waited this long. I'm also waiting on an order with this cardigan in Frosty Olive. It should pair well with the camis if they ever arrive!

That's it for today! Off to squeeze in a workout and then see what we can plan to have some fun and stay busy despite the weather.

  1. Oh it's a shame that red top had problems with colour transfer as it's such a pretty piece, was my favourite from all of your outfits until I read that! Thanks for sharing the sales!

Hope you had a lovely weekend! We took the boys to an indoor play centre to get out of the humid weather and they loved it :)
