Plum Sweater, Shopbop Sale + Link Up

|
I'm feeling a nice sense of relief this week since Christmas is over and the kids still are out of school and on break from their after school activities too. Life feels a lot less hectic than usual, so I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts! I have some of returns to make for gifts that didn't work out, and I'm thinking it will put enough cash in my pocket to justify doing some shopping at the Shopbop Sale. Their sale items are currently an additional 25% with Code JOY25 - up to 75% off the original price. I'll share a few of my favorite brands and items below, but first let's talk outfit details for today.
Outfit Details:
This soft and fuzzy plum sweater c/o Romwe is so comfortable. I am loving the trend for all of the ultra soft sweater fabrics like chenille or this fabric. For those of us not as much into wearing the athleisure trend, this is the next best thing! I'm wearing a Small here and it's a comfortable, relaxed fit. There's currently just one size in stock in this sweater (Medium), and I think if you normally wear a Small or Medium it would fit. If you normally wear an XS and want a more oversized fit you could also do a Medium. If you check the product measurements there isn't actually a huge difference between sizes

This is my favorite pair of new-this-season jeans from Express and I really can't say enough good things about them. I also wore them here and here (first outfit in Group 2). They're comfortable, flattering and true-to-size. I also love the way they fit at and around my ankle so I don't have to cuff them at all. (I'm 5'4" and wearing the Short length, by the way.)

My black stacked-heel pumps also run true to size (you might recall me wearing the nude pair here) and they are quite comfortable as well, although I am finding that I'm going to need some kind of heel grip for them if I'm walking very far. These heel grips are under $5 and get good reviews, but if anyone has suggestions for a tried-and-true brand I'd love to hear it.

Shopbop Sale Bargains:
Sometimes a visual is more effective than text, so here's the scoop on the current Shopbop Sale:

There are lots of designer bags marked way down (even under $100 ) from popular brands like Tory Burch, Kate Spade, and Rebecca Minkoff:

Shopbop Sale Bags

During sales like this it's pretty common for items to sell out quickly so if the links above take you to a sold out piece, you can shop all Sale Bags here.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and that it's been smooth sailing getting back into the swing of things. I don't feel like it's quite back to normal here until after the New Year, but at least it's a step in the right direction!

    1. Hi! I'm not 100% sure which other pair of jeans you're referring to...I tried searching for the name you gave on the express website (super stretch deconstructed light grey) and can't find them so they might be sold out. BUT I think I might know which pair of jeans you're talking about just by the description since they were in stock back in the fall and they were lighter grey with more rips/distressing than this pair. The current pair I have is not quite the same material...the distressed ones are definitely softer and more stretchy than these. These are a bit thicker and seem to hold me in a bit more than those. That said, I took the same size in both! If you're still not sure we're talking about the same two pairs, send me an email and I can send you a fitting room pic of the light grey pair to see if it's the same one you're talking about. :)

  12. Yes...you have correct pair..they left off super stretch..i an thinking I should go with 0 not 00 this time..maybe less stretcb...dont want to look like sausage thighs..but at same time...want saddlebags held in ...uggh

    1. LOL, I totally understand. That's the reason I didn't keep the lighter pair...didn't feel like they held me in enough in that area. The darker ones did a much better job at that!
