Leopard Scarf + Giveaway and Link Up

|
I'm pretty excited to share today's post since I have a couple of things that are "extra" going on here! First, I'm teaming up with a couple of my favorite bloggers, Amy Ann and JoLynne to share three ways to wear this leopard scarf. Each of us are styling this scarf on our blogs today so make sure to stop by their blogs for the details on each of their outfits!

For the last couple of Fall/Winter seasons, I gave up wearing scarves because I didn't like how they sat with my hair length. They'd always mess up the back layers of my hair, so it didn't seem worth the fuss. But since I've recently found some clip-in hair pieces that give me updo hairstyle options for my short hair, it seemed like a good time to give scarves another chance!

This is my first time sharing this clip-in ponytail on the blog, but it's another one of my "I don't want to do my hair today" hacks that I talked about when I shared my favorite messy bun extension in this post.  I don't wear this one as much as the messy bun simply because it's a little heavier so I don't like to leave it on for long periods of time. But I do still like having it just for the variety I wouldn't otherwise have with my own hair.

My sweater, jeans, and boots all run true to size. This sweater is a great basic piece that comes in several solid and stripe options. It's very soft and comfortable and under $35. My boots are currently 20% off, and since they're the closest thing I own to flats, they came in handy on this day when I was on my feet a lot helping out at school.

I'm really happy this collaboration gave me the push to get this scarf because I thought it really brought the outfit together. The sweater and jeans just looked more plain without it, and I can see myself adding it to a lot of outfits this year.

If you'd like to get one of these for yourself, you're in luck! JoLynne, Amy Ann and I are giving away a $100 Gift Card to Nordstrom so you can snag this scarf along or any number of other things as our way of saying thanks for reading and following along! Just enter using the Rafflecopter below. The more tasks you complete, the better your chances of winning. 1. Thanks Brooke! I do find that since I have shorter hair, shorter hair pieces make people less likely to notice that it's not my real hair. Which is nice since I'm not doing it for convenience, no to garner a lot of comments or discussion about my hair!

  5. I need to look into some of these clip in pieces to add a twist to my hair. I love your short hair though and how you've been sharing more photos of your face in your posts/IG!! I have a lot of scarves, and I love to wear them out... but, at home I usually take them off as they get in the way of what I'm doing (plus we keep our home pretty warm!). I just got a leopard scarf (I know, I'm behind the game!) last winter and I am loving these tips on how to style it from all of you!
