Blush Cardigan, Leopard Shoes + Link Up

|
Hello and happy first day of November! It's finally starting to feel like fall in San Diego with temperatures 40 degrees cooler than they were last week during our crazy heat wave. The cooler temperatures feel great and I should probably be celebrating with an outfit that looks like fall, but instead I'm sharing some of my any-season staples since it's just what I happened to be wearing on the day we snapped these pictures.

This blush cardigan is currently 40% off and such a great piece. It runs true to size, and you can see my last transition-weather outfit with it here. It comes in several other colors, but several of them are listed under separate product listings (rather than one product where you can choose from all of the colors). I wish they would just put them all in one place, but since I can't change that I'll just point you to the three different listings for the seven colors in total:

Dark Red/Burgundy + Marled Black/Charcoal version: HERE
Light Heather Grey: HERE
Black, Ivory, Blush, Wren Grey: HERE

I really love the "Wren Grey" color of this but every time I put it in my shopping cart, I can't come up with a single way to style it that I couldn't do with this blush version. I guess the only difference is that it would probably give this same outfit a more fall vibe.

My ivory cami is also on sale for $30 and runs true to size. These Grey Jeans are a longtime favorite and also run true to size. I'm 5'4" and opt for the Short Length

My leopard wedges are originally from Sole Society and long gone, so I put together a few leopard shoe options that could work as alternates with a variety of heel heights/types and price points.

1. Sam Edelman Pumps (New Leopard) | 2. Banana Republic Pumps  | 3. Old Navy Pumps
7. Splendid Flats (Renee II) | 8. Steven Shoes (Valente) | 9. Old Navy Flats

Currently...
On the first Wednesday of the month I like to link up with Anne to share some current happenings since it gives me a good excuse to write about something other than clothes. And don't get me wrong, I like talking about clothes! I just like to mix it up a little now and then! Here are the Currently topics for November:

Realizing...exactly how often I say the word "like" and other filler words. I've been paying attention to it since this post last week and it's a hard habit to break! I don't realize I'm saying it until after the fact, but hopefully in time I'll be more thoughtful of my speech before the words come out.

Stirring...cream into my coffee with my glass straws. This was a tough question to answer! Normally I associate baking with stirring, but I'm currently avoiding baking/baked goods (more on that here), so there's not a lot of stirring going on around here. But I do use my glass straws every day.

Appreciating...family. Tomorrow it will be one year since my dad passed away. The loss of one family member gives you a new appreciation for the living, and in this past year I've felt the bonds with my mom and siblings grow stronger. (Even if our text message threads

Investigating...new hair style options, colors, etc. My hair has been essentially the same for about three years and I'm toying with the idea of a change. I just don't know what change to make yet so I need a plan before I can proceed. It just has to be extremely easy to style, and so far most hairstyles I like look like they would take longer than I'm willing to spend!

Following...The Influencer Podcast. It's a podcast for bloggers/digital influencers with interviews of people in their industry and their take on a variety of issues. Minus the one episode with the interviewee who said "like" approximately every third word (who shall remain nameless), I've gained some good insights from each episode so far. The interviews with Ashley Fultz/Abby Osche and Lauryn Evarts (Skinny Confidential) are two I would recommend.

That's it from here and I'll see you back on Friday!

  10. That blush cardigan is so pretty! I can't get enough of that color right now. I know that I use "like" too much too--it's a hard habit to break. A hairstyle change is always fun too!

    1. LOL, so far that's exactly what's happening to me. Except maybe my hair has grown 1-2 inches for a "change" because it's the most no-effort-involved option!
