Sweater + Outerwear Sale
I remember complaining maybe about a month ago with a friend on Instagram that Express hadn't been having as many good sales or coupon codes as they once did. Now I'm wondering if they spied on that conversation because now the pendulum has swung the other way. It's almost a case of "be careful what you wish for" because every week there's been a great sale on something that's too good to pass up!
This week sweaters, outerwear and handbags are all 40% off. Here are a few of my current favorites that are included in the sale:
I ordered two items from the sale:
First, the Marl Zip Back Hi-Lo Sweater:
I saw this in store but they didn't have my size so I didn't bother trying it on. In person the color was a warmer beige which is a plus for my skintone, although I'm not sure if I'm going to like the fit. I thought the zip back detail was fun though so it's worth a shot.
Second the Rock Glitter Fold Over Convertible Clutch:
This looks perfect for date night, especially with the holidays coming up. It also comes in black with black glitter, but I already have a black evening bag so I went for this version.

Notes and Modifications:
In the weight training series I did this week, Amy frequently uses a barbell. As I mentioned last week I don't own a barbell and plates, but it was very easy to do every exercise (except one!) with dumbbells. The only one I can't do at all with dumbbells is a hamstring curl with the barbell in a vertical position. So I substitute hamstring roll-ins on a stability ball, as shown in this video.
Also, you might notice I did some extra dance practice sessions on my own this week. I have to prepare a solo for my dance class this coming Sunday and it's been more time consuming and difficult than I expected! Well...I actually don't have to do it but I want to because some of us students may get to perform our solos in an upcoming show (in March), so this feels kind of like an audition. And I have to admit I really want mine to be "good enough" for the show so I'm doing my best to at least get it done and ready for Sunday.
Snapchat: For the Birds
I haven't been keeping up with my Snapchat trends feature because I decided I don't want to be committed to watching enough Snap Stories every week to establish the trends! It's time consuming enough for me to keep up with a blog and Instagram, so I want to keep Snapchat as a no-commitment, no-stress, all-fun social media. As far as what I'm sharing, I'm not sure I can post anything more exciting than me vs. the bird in my house yesterday so it's all going downhill from here!
