In general, his style is very casual with a few signature formulas:
Fitted T-shirt and Jeans:
Button Down Shirt with Jeans:
Option One or Two, Topped with a Structured Jacket:
A lot of his looks are very simple, but I think what consistently makes him look polished is the perfect fit and tailoring on all of his pieces. (And of course the figure going into those pieces doesn't hurt a bit.) I also noticed that he has a few signature accessories. He frequently wears a large watch on his left hand with a couple of beaded bracelets on his right, and occasionally he'll add a necklace or two with his plain t-shirts. Very simple, easy to-recreate stuff but it creates a nice, polished look.
This month I didn't have to create any new outfits to match my style inspiration. I love basic pieces just like Joe, and I've already worn a couple of similar looks:
Old Navy / Jeans: Express (Similar) / Necklace: Forever 21 (Similar) / Bracelet: Stella & Dot "Portia" / Sandals: Forever 21 (Similar)
Outfit Two: Sweater: Express (Similar) / Jeans: Express / Shoes: Sole Society / Necklace: Express / White Tank: Target
I'm finding that putting this series together helps me feel a little more savvy about menswear in general, which comes in handy for me living with three males! But I also keep noticing that a lot of what makes someone look "put together" applies across gender lines, so I'll keep on looking outside the box for outfit ideas!
